Escape from Extinction

Our planet is home to 8 million known species, but just one of those species might soon be responsible for erasing millions of others: humans. On the verge of a catastrophic extinction event, our world is edging towards chaos – and it’s up to us to change things. The documentary from the American Humane Association – with direction by Matthew R. Brady and narration by Helen Mirren – is a sobering look at the fight for scores of species threatened by extinction. Using rare footage of endangered animals and interviews with the world’s foremost animal welfare specialists, the point is hammered home strongly: we are nature’s last change, and it’s time to act now.
