Midsommar - Director's Cut

Written and directed by visionary filmmaker Ari Aster (Hereditary, Beau Is Afraid) comes a dread-soaked cinematic fairytale where a world of darkness unfolds in broad daylight.

After losing her family to a tragic event, Dani (Florence Pugh) and her emotionally detached partner Christian (Jack Reynor) are on the brink of their relationship falling apart. When Christian's friends plan a trip to Sweden to visit a rural hometown's fabled midsummer festival, he invites Dani along to join them. What begins as an idyllic retreat quickly devolves into an increasingly violent and bizarre competition at the hands of a pagan cult; turning a pastoral paradise into a disturbing nightmare that both frightens and awakens Dani.

The director's cut runs for 171 minutes and includes nearly 24 minutes of additional material that wasn't in the theatrical release.
