Settled in with the Brown family, Paddington (winsomely voiced by Ben Wishaw) is a popular member of the community who spreads joy and marmalade wherever he goes. One fine day, he spots a pop-up book in a local antique shop, and decides it is the perfect present for his beloved Aunt Lucy's 100th birthday. But when washed-up stage actor Phoenix Buchanan (a deliciously hammy Hugh Grant) steals the prized book for far less altruistic reasons, Paddington is framed for the crime, and must embark on an epic quest to unmask the real culprit before Aunt Lucy's big celebration.
With a cracker supporting cast including Sally Hawkins, Hugh Bonneville, Julie Walters, Brendan Gleeson, Peter Capaldi and Jim Broadbent, director Paul King’s perfectly judged take on Michael Bond’s legendary bear is just as warm and satisfying as a cup of tea and a marmalade sandwich twice over!
