Sci-Fi FF: Brainstorm

One of the truly legendary figures in sci-fi/fantasy cinema, director Douglas Trumbull passed away in February 2022, leaving a legacy filled with frames of film that are genre-defining – 2001: A Space Odyssey (1968); Silent Running (1972); Close Encounters of The Third Kind (1977); Star Trek: The Motion Picture (1979); Blade Runner (1982); The Tree of Life (2011).
In his honour, The Melbourne Science Fiction Film Festival is proud to present this rare big-screen presentation of his 1983 film BRAINSTORM, a thrilling hi-tech drama featuring Oscar-winners Christopher Walken, Louise Fletcher and Cliff Robertson, alongside Natalie Wood, in what would be her final performance.
