Russian Resurrection Film Festival

Join us for the next instalment of the Russian Film Festival. In 2022, we’re hosting a mini-festival showcasing a selection of new films, all Australian premieres.  From the opening night fast-paced espionage thriller, CAPTAIN VOLKONGOV ESCAPED and winner of the Venice Film Festival to the critically acclaimed LAND OF SASHA, there is something for everyone in the program line-up. With a wide variety of genres, independent Russian cinema continues to thrive and produce challenging, vibrant, and sophisticated stories.

A note from RRFF: Russian Resurrection is an independent film festival, which has been screening in Australia for the past 18 years embracing a broad audience. We stand with the world against the war in Ukraine. Russian Resurrection is about promoting the best of Russian culture and showcasing the works of Russian filmmakers many of whom are deeply critical of the chaos unfolding around them. The Festival is supported by the NSW Government and we say NO to war!
