Art of Incarceration, The

Seen through the eyes of the individuals serving time, THE ART OF INCARCERATION explores The Torch: a pioneering not-for-profit organisation that runs arts programs for Indigenous Australian prisoners and ex-offenders inside and out of the Victorian prison system. An unflinching insight into the inmates’ quest for cultural identity and spiritual healing as they prepare for The Torch’s annual Confined exhibition, as well as the experience of returning to 'normal' life on the outside, THE ART OF INCARCERATION shows the empowerment that can come from personal expression.
