Bones and All

It's ChalaMAY! Cinema Nova celebrates one of the big screen's brightest stars with four flicks from across the oeuvre of Timothée Chalamet.
Based on the novel by Camille DeAngelis, Luca Guadagnino (Call Me by Your Name, Challengers) directs Timothée Chalamet and Taylor Russell in a sensuous gothic-romance. Virginia, 1988. Maren (Russell) is separated from her father following an incident that forces them to flee their home in the middle of the night. Meeting the charismatic Lee (Chalamet) while searching for the mother that abandoned her as a child, Maren discovers they share a primal urge they cannot ignore. Together, the pair explores their all-consuming impulses, and as the raw, visceral need for companionship and connection burgeons, they’re forced to interrogate who they are in a world that’s cast them both aside. Winner: Best Director and Best Newcomer at the 2022 Venice Film Festival.
