Collective

A shocking exposé courtesy of a determined team of Romanian journalists, COLLECTIVE is a documentary that opens the lid of widespread Government corruption and fraud in the wake of a deadly nightclub fire. The fire in Bucharest nightclub Colectiv in 2015 was responsible for scores of deaths, both from the immediate incident and thanks to inadequate hospital facilities - and now, the truth is emerging: a system so corrupt that both politicians and medical professionals thought nothing of letting people die. A devastating watch, director/writer Alexander Nanau and his team have assembled a sobering and all-consuming film that highlights the lows those at the top will plumb to stay high.

Nominated for both Best International Feature Oscar and Best Documentary Feature Oscar - a rare occurance.
