Crock of Gold: Shane MacGowan

In the Julien Temple-directed CROCK OF GOLD: A FEW ROUNDS WITH SHANE MACGOWAN, front-man of beloved band The Pogues takes centre stage. An insight into the life and times of Irish punk poet MacGowan, Temple (an accomplished filmmaker, documentarian and video-clip director) combines unseen archival material, family home movies and new interviews to create a fascinating portrait of one of the music greats of our time. We meet a man responsible for combining the energies of traditional Irish music and punk rock, achieving icon status while also facing the demands and demons that come from sudden international fame.
