Discovering a person of kindness, intelligence and sophistication behind a monstrous façade, Merrick soon becomes an object of curiosity to London high society. Co-starring Anne Bancroft and John Gielgud, THE ELEPHANT MAN was produced by Mel Brooks. It is considered one of Lynch's more accessible feature films.
