I Blame Society

Directed and co-written by Gillian Wallace Horvat - who also plays an alternate version of herself in the film - I BLAME SOCIETY is a biting satire that skewers the L.A. scene in the context of post-#MeToo culture. Gillian, a struggling filmmaker, is just trying to get her first feature funded, while feeling like everyone - herself included - is losing faith in her. Resurrecting an abandoned doco project about what makes the perfect murder, the lines between art and real life begin to blur as she becomes consumed by what she is creating, becoming more and more unhinged as she realises that she, in fact... would make a great serial killer. Razor-sharp and darkly hilarious, Horvat’s film is completely outrageous and totally original.
