IFF: Fellini Forward

Direct from its Venice International Film Festival premiere, this pioneering project is a one-of-a-kind film documenting the process of making a short film and asks the question, what if technology could revive an artist’s legacy? In this incredible experiment, human and artificial intelligence collaborate to try the impossible: bring back to life the creativity of the creative genius of one of the greatest directors of all times, Federico Fellini.

Preceded by a fascinating short film inspired by the life of Fellini and set in the heart of Rome, which reveals a metaphorical story of the debut and evolution of the Maestro in the cinema world, from the very first spark of his passion as a young man up to his outstanding creations, the audience then follows a documentary on the making of Fellini‘s imaginary journey.

In collaboration with Fellini’s family and former colleagues, directing duo Zackary Canepari and Drea Cooper capture the making of this short film by Maximilian Niemann and explore the future of cinema and creativity in this unique Campari Red Diaries project. (Italy, 2021).
