IRFF: Lyra

Pre-recorded Q&A with cast and/or director to screen after the feature.

An intimate and uncompromising portrait of LYRA McKee, the 29-year-old Northern Irish investigative journalist who was murdered by the New IRA the day before Good Friday, 2019.

Directed by her close friend, BAFTA-winning Alison Millar, the film seeks to make sense of McKee’s death and the significance it came to hold for the country. Through a rich archive of audio recordings, field notes and interviews with those who knew her, LYRA tells the story of a life fearlessly committed to truth and justice for forgotten crimes.
