James Ashcroft follows up his enthralling debut feature COMING HOME IN THE DARK (2021) with this magnificently nasty tale about a former judge (Geoffrey Rush) imprisoned in his own body after a stroke and left to the tender mercies of an elderly psychopath (John Lithgow) who employs a hand puppet to abuse the residents of a nursing home.

Confined to a secluded nursing facility after stroke that has left him paralysed, a former Judge soon discovers that evil stalks the halls of the home at night in the form of a hulking, seemingly silent patient who communicates through a hand puppet called Jenny Pen. Doubted and dismissed by the staff, the judge is forced to endure one brutal indignity after the other at hands of the sadistic puppet wielder until he realises that if the torture is to stop, he must take matters into his own palsied hands before they too fail him completely.
