Oppenheimer

Written and directed by Christopher Nolan (Dunkirk, Inception, Interstellar), OPPENHEIMER is an epic historical thriller that thrusts audiences into the pulse-pounding paradox of the enigmatic man who must risk destroying the world in order to save it. Starring Cillian Murphy, Emily Blunt, Matt Damon, Robert Downey Jr., Florence Pugh and Alden Ehrenreich, Murphy stars as J. Robert Oppenheimer - a skilled theoretical physicist who quickly becomes renown as an expert in his field. As the spectre of Nazi Germany and war in Europe grows, Oppenheimer is approached by the US Military with an offer to head a secret program to create a weapon that will end war as the world knows it, once and for all.

The film is based on the Pulitzer Prize-winning book American Prometheus: The Triumph and Tragedy of J. Robert Oppenheimer by Kai Bird and Martin J. Sherwin.
