Percy Schmeiser (Walken) is an 'old-school' farmer who takes pride in the quality of his canola crop - carefully crafted over decades by saving seeds from his most successful yields. When genetically modified canola is found within Percy's crops by major conglomerate Monsanto, Percy faces a major lawsuit that could destroy his life's work. Aided by a small-town lawyer (Braff) and a determined environmental activist (Ricci), Percy soon learns that the fight that's landed on his doorstep is one being fought all the way across the United States.
