Misanthropic author and wine connoisseur Miles (Giamatti) is invited by his friend Jack (Haden Church) to join him on a road-trip to California's wine country before Jack gets married. Meeting two women (Madsen, Oh) while on the road, what starts out as a weekend of fun and relaxation evolves into something more serious for the two friends.
