Suzume (Subtitled)

From master filmmaker Makoto Shinkai (Your Name, Weathering With You), SUZUME is a fantasy adventure set in a future where Japan suffers devastation though a series of gateways which invite disaster.
Encountering a young man who tells seventeen year old Suzume, “I’m looking for a door”, she discovers a weathered portal standing upright in the midst of ruins as though it was shielded from whatever catastrophe struck. Drawn to its power, she accidentally unleashes destruction across the nation. Tasked with closing these doorways to prevent further disaster, Suzume soon learns there is a link between past and present that might empower her to overcome her own personal barriers.
Japanese language, English subtitles.
