Unsound (On-Screen Captions)
Please note: ALL SESSIONS of 'UNSOUND' will play with on-screen captions with descriptive text for the hearing impaired.
Directed by Ian Watson, produced by Tsu Shan Chambers from a screenplay by Ally Burnham comes UNSOUND. Noah (Reece Noi, Game Of Thrones) is a guitarist, recently moved back into his mother’s house in Sydney - and the two are clashing. Seeking solace elsewhere, he suddenly finds himself with a new mission: helping save a community nightclub for the deaf. Getting swept up - and forming a romance - with young deaf trans man Finn (Yiana Pandelis), the club's resident DJ, Noah finds himself traversing new languages and emotions he hadn’t previously been fluent in.
With brilliant performances by rising stars Noi and Pandelis and with cameos by Christine Anu - who also wrote two songs for the film - and Todd McKenney, UNSOUND lends a local edge to a unifying and inclusive story of love.
