Uproar
A touching Kiwi comedy about connection and finding your place in the world.
Quick-witted Josh Waaka (Hunt for the Wilderpeople's Julian Dennison) has never fit in at his all-boys private school. In the winter of 1981, Josh is inspired by the growing protest movement in his small township of Dunedin and discovers a newfound passion for performing to find his own voice. With the aid of a kindly teacher (comedian and star of Our Flag Means Death Rhys Darby), a close friend (Erana James) and his loving family (Minnie Driver, James Rolleston), a more confident Josh embraces his Māori heritage before taking a stand for what he believes in.
