Eyes Without A Face

HALLOWEEK SCREENINGS! Deranged Doctor Génessier (Pierre Brasseur) attempts to replace the disfigured visage of his daughter Christiane (Edith Scob) with stolen faces in Georges Franju's 1960 horror classic EYES WITHOUT A FACE. Acclaimed by critic Pauline Kael as "the most austerely elegant horror film ever made", the film famously made multiple attendees of the Edinburgh Film Festival faint during the screening despite being cleared by the European censors. Now revered as a genre classic thanks to the masterful direction of Franju, it returns to the cinema screen to haunt a new generation.
