Hot Summer Nights

It's ChalaMAY! Cinema Nova celebrates one of the big screen's brightest stars with four flicks from across the oeuvre of Timothée Chalamet.

Making its debut at SXSW in 2017, Elijah Bynum directs Timothée Chalamet, Maika Monroe and William Fichtner in a coming-of-age crime thriller about a sheltered teen (Chalamet) who discovers a way to get rich quick during a wild summer in Cape Cod. Set in 1991 and shot-thru with a neon hue that would become a signature of the film’s US distributor A24, HOT SUMMER NIGHTS is an energetic pulp obscurity that showcases Chalamet on the cusp of becoming a major movie star.
