Mean Streets + After Hours

DOUBLE FEATURE! Martin Scorsese’s breakout hit following the crime-ridden streets of New York City followed by a hypnotic and hilarious late-night caper of a man unable to escape the city…

Scorsese’s essential slice of street life in Little Italy and a landmark of the New Hollywood film movement, MEAN STREETS centres on a small-time hood (Harvey Keitel) who gets in over his head with a vicious loan shark. In an attempt to free himself from the dangers of his debt, he gets help from a friend who is also involved in criminal activities (Robert De Niro).

Perhaps Scorsese’s funniest film, AFTER HOURS is a high-energy masterclass in urban anxieties. After word processor Paul Hackett (Griffin Dunne) meets Marcy (Rosanna Arquette) in a Manhattan café and accepts her invitation to her downtown apartment, he finds himself in a series of awkward, surreal and life-threatening situations involving a colourful cast of characters as he spends the night desperately trying to return home.
