Oh, Canada

Richard Gere and Paul Schrader are back together for the first time since American Gigolo in OH, CANADA!
Director Leonard Fife (Gere) can feel his life slipping away after being diagnosed with cancer. One of sixty-thousand draft evaders and deserters who fled to Canada to avoid serving in Vietnam, Leonard is guilt-stricken from a history of lies and half-truths being the foundation of a successful career as a highly-lauded documentarian. Wanting to de-mythologise his life as a young man (Jacob Elordi) in the 60s, he sits for an extended interview with his former student Malcolm (Michael Imperioli). At his insistence, Leonard's wife Emma (Uma Thurman) is witness to his revelations as he candidly reveals his shortcomings and bares the scars of a life marred by fraud, neglect, and regret.
Anchored by incredible performances, OH, CANADA explores the human psyche in Schrader's trademark reflective style.
